Product Warranties and Service Policies
L'occhio Eyecare-Eyestyle stands behind its products, services, and workmanship. L'occhio is dedicated to its patients by delivering excellent customer service and fair customer service policies. Understanding product warranties and service policies helps prevent misunderstandings.
Unconditional 30 Day Satisfaction Guarantee. If for any reason you are not satisfied with the purchase of your new eye wear you may return them for a one-time 100% in-office credit. This credit my be applied to the purchase of an alternative pair of glasses. There will be a 20% restocking fee for frames and lenses returned after 30 days with the issue of an in office credit. No credit will be issued after 90 days.
Prescription Guarantee. If your prescription is difficult to adjust to and if you were examined by one of our doctors, we will re-examine you for FREE within 30 days from picking up your glasses and we will remake your lenses FREE (with identical lenses). Price differences resulting from frame and lens exchanges to equal or lessor priced products are not refunded. Price differences resulting from frame or lens upgrades are subject to upgrade fees. If the glasses were made from an outside doctor's prescription the same warranty applies, but you must have your doctor re-examine your eyes, otherwise examination fees will apply. Only one free prescription change is allowed per prescription pair. Additional prescription changes are charged 50% of the normal retail price.
Scratch Coat Warranty. L'occhio will service the warranty on any scratch-coated lens according to the manufacturer's specified warranty from the date of purchase. Certain manufacturers offer a life-time warranty. Life-time is defined as the life of the prescription, which is two (2) years from the date of purchase. Some may offer a two-year unlimited warranty. Other manufacturers offer a limited warranty. A limited warranty may be a one time only one year from date of purchase. Warranted lenses are only replaced with the identical prescription in the identical frame. Prescription changes and frame changes are not allowed. Warranties vary according to product type and manufacturer.
Frame Warranty. L'occhio will service the manufacturer's frame warranty according to the manufacturer's specifications. Manufacturer frame warranties cover defects in frame workmanship. Some manufacturer warranties vary from a one time one year time frame to a one time two year time frame. Frame warranties do not cover frame breakage or frame ware from obvious frame misuse or accident. Excessive heat may damage a frame and is not considered under warranty. Care for frames must follow manufacturer's specifications found in product inserts and/or manufacturer websites.
Progressive Lens Warranty. L'occhio understands that adjustments to progressive lenses may be difficult. Therefore, L'occhio services all manufacturer progressive lens non-adapt policies. Non-adapt policies include remaking your lens into an equal or lesser priced lens with NO charge. Refunds in price differences are not granted. If you wish to upgrade your progressive lens within the manufacturer's non-adapt period you will only be charged the difference in price.
Contact Lens Warranty. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your contact lens fit or your new contact lenses you may be refit for FREE, up to 30 days from the date of purchase. Conventional soft, Rigid Gas Permeable, and PMMA lenses are subject to return policies and restocking fee policies of their respective manufacturers. Contact lens fitting fees are not refundable. Unopened, clean boxes (not written on or damaged) may be returned for in office credit within 30 days from original purchase.
Sunwear Warranty. Plano sunwear sales are final. Returns and exchanges are not accepted. Frames for plano sunwear are warranted one year for manufacturer's defects only. Lenses are NOT warranted against scratches.
Insurance Plans. Product warranties and service policies may be limited by constraints imposed by vision plans. When constraints are imposed or restricted, fees will be based upon normal retail fees.
Cancellation Policy. Due to the custom nature of fabricating eyewear and contact lenses cancellations are subject to non-refundable lab and restocking fees. Fees vary depending upon individual lens designs and may be charged as high as 30% to 40% of the regular (non-insurance, non-discounted) retail prices. L'occhio prides itself in speedy accurate work. Our office is electronically set up to process orders immediately as soon as required minimum payment is received. This cancellation policy is in effect immediately upon placing your order as your order is immediately processed.
